Feed the Future
After the world's crisis for food in 2007, the U.S. government's actions inspired the creation of Feed the Future. It is a pledge to effectively fix and stop world hunger. The goal is to secure the availability of food worldwide, and leave no mouth hungry. They plan to reconstruct the agricultural system, preach democracy, economic growth, strategic coordination, and strive to achieve promises. They plan to use 72.8 billion dollars in order to ensure the health and growth of children, and keep men and women healthy by using plants that are tolerant of droughts, and improved nutrition. They say they've made "lasting development impacts" through their increase in agricultural productivity, but further information has yet to surface. Their first report of their progress will be in early 2012.
